Democracy, Human Rights.  A  fair, independent legal system. Openess, accountability, responsibility. Government of by and for the people as a whole, recognising and respecting the value of all persons regardless of religion, ethnic or racial origin, sex, orientation, class, wealth or poverty.  These values learnt the hard way growing up in apartheid South Africa.  They have lead me to be a keen Liberal Democrat.
