Go to Ethical Issues and you will find quite a long paper on death and the right to choose when to die as we find ourselves facing what some have called the “dementia tsunami.” It is written from a non-theist humanist perspective, and shows how Buddhist practice and teaching has influenced my thinking, though some Buddhists may not agree with it. The issues raised I think affect us all. email me with your comments. In fact since writing this I find suddenly the topic is being widely explored from a variety of angles.
